Case Study: Rewriting & Refreshing A Coaching Website

Problem: When Abigail and I started working together, she was at a crossroads professionally, having just wrapped up a long-term contract. She wanted to attract more individual coaching clients and knew that her website could use a refresh to accomplish that. She was happy with the branding overall, as far as her colors and overall look but wanted a rewrite of the copy and a “facelift” of the design.
Solution: For this project, I focused on the rewrites first, to make sure we landed on the correct content and tone, before switching over to the redesign.
Tools Used: Squarespace, Google Workspace, Keyword Research Tools, Canva
Deeper Dive:
The whole process started with an in-depth discovery session to clarify Abigail’s specific goals, as far as her ideal client and brand messaging. She wanted her website to feel welcoming and approachable while emphasizing her strong professional background in the corporate world as well as supporting professional women during times of career transitions.
After drafting all the content, Abigail reviewed it and offered her feedback before I switched over to the design part of our project.
The Results:
In the first month after the updates went live, her website traffic doubled and she enrolled the first members of her new “Transition Team” group coaching offer.
